DANVILLE — Danville police are looking for information after an aquatic center was "extensively" vandalized over the weekend.
In a Facebook post, the Danville Metropolitan Police Department said a group of people spray-painted pool walls and slides with vulgar phrases and drawings at the Gill Aquatic Center in Ellis Park.
Police say the crime happened on Sunday, Feb. 20 around 10:45 p.m. when four people jumped the fence and vandalized the property.
"We know the individuals took multiple photos, because we can see the flashes from their cameras, and we believe these photos have likely been shared with other individuals or via social media accounts," police wrote in a Facebook post on Feb. 26.
