FISHERS — Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed at a Speedway gas station in Fishers.
Fishers Police Department officers responded to the Speedway gas station located near East 116th Street and Allisonville Road at 5:19 p.m. on reports of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult woman inside a vehicle at a gas pump.
The woman was suffering from a gunshot injury and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the suspect is believed to have fled the scene in another vehicle after the shooting.
According to police, the shooting is believed to be targeted. The suspect and the victim may have known each other.
Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time.
