INDIANAPOLIS — At least one person is injured after a crash on the west side of Indianapolis during a police chase of a stolen box truck, according to police.

The crash happened around 1:40 p.m. near West 16th Street and North Pershing Avenue, IMPD Officer William Young said. The condition of the person injured is unclear, but police are investigating the incident as a "serious bodily injury" crash.

An officer at the scene told WRTV the driver in a stolen box truck kept driving after the crash.

One suspect was eventually taken into custody, Young said.

No officers are believed to be injured as a result of the incident.

Additional information has not been released.

The video from Indiana Department of Transportation traffic cameras appears to show police chasing the stolen box truck.
