WAYNESVILLE — Bartholomew County investigators identified a "person of interest" after a woman was found dead Monday morning in Waynesville.
A news release from the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office said the woman was found dead with "suspicious injuries" just before 6:30 a.m. Monday in the 2700 block of South East Street.
Investigators believe Bobby Neil Truitt II, 19, was the last person to see the woman alive.
The Bartholomew County Death Investigation Team, which includes the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, Columbus Police Department, Indiana State Police, Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office and the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office, is investigating the case.
