TAYLORSVILLE — A person was hospitalized Wednesday morning after a shooting in Bartholomew County, police said.
The shooting around 5:30 a.m. in the 9000 block of Main Street in Taylorsville, according to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office.
The male victim was transported by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital with a gunshot wound to his stomach. His condition was not available.
Sheriff's deputies detained a suspected shooter and the investigation is ongoing. Sheriff Matthew A. Myers said there is no threat to the public.
Main Street in Taylorsville was closed from U.S. 31 to County Road 650 North following the shooting.
