BLOOMINGTON — Police in Bloomington are investigating a shooting early Friday morning near Indiana University.
Bloomington Police Department officers were called around 2 a.m. to the intersection of East Kirkwood Avenue and North Dunn Street on the report of shots fired, BPD Capt. Ryan Pedigo said in a press release. Officers located several shell casings in an alleyway nearby.
A short time later, investigators were told a 23-year-old man arrived at IU Health Bloomington Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg, Pedigo said. The man is in stable condition and is not believed to be suffering from life-threatening injuries.
It is believed the man was injured in the shots fired incident at East Kirkwood Avenue and North Dunn Street, Pedigo said.
