COLUMBUS — A Columbus man was arrested on a warrant Friday night in Bartholomew County after he accidentally called 911.
A 48-year-old man told dispatchers everything was ok he didn't need police to respond after he accidentally called 911, Sheriff Matt Myers said in a Facebook post. Deputies responded to make sure everything was ok.
Once they arrived and found out the man had a warrant, he was arrested and booked into the Bartholomew County Jail, according to the post.
The man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant and was originally charged with visiting a common nuisance, Judy Jackson, a spokesperson for the sheriff's office, said in an email.
He was later released, according to the Bartholomew County Jail.
