WEST LAFAYETTE — A death investigation in West Lafayette is being treated as a homicide, police said Wednesday.
According to a report from West Lafayette police, officers were called to the Country Villa apartment complex around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on report of a possible deceased person.
Police said when officers arrived they found an adult male deceased inside an apartment. The individual had at least one gunshot wound.
The victim has been identified as Antonio Joiner, 28, of Lafayette, police said.
According to police, the incident is being treated as a homicide unless and until evidence in the investigation proves otherwise.
