INDIANAPOLIS — At least four people were taken into custody Saturday evening after a large disturbance at a Revel nightclub in downtown Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 7 p.m. on the report of a large disturbance at the nightclub, at 220 S. Meridian St., according to police reports. More than 25 IMPD officers responded to the scene.
Managers of the nightclub say the confrontation started between two VIP guests and escalated after security had to get involved.
Police arrested at least the following three people in connection with the fight, according to police reports:
- A 27-year-old Indianapolis man was arrested on the suspicion of disorderly conduct.
- A 33-year-old Indianapolis woman was arrested on the suspicion of resisting law enforcement.
- A 26-year-old Indianapolis man was arrested on the suspicion of battery on law enforcement and resisting law enforcement.
- A 24-year-old Indianapolis man was arrested on the suspicion of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.
Despite conflicting reports of shots being fired during the incident, investigators do not believe any shots were fired, IMPD Officer Michael Hewitt said in a press release.
No known injuries were reported.
