Frankfort man arrested for assaulting poll workers after being turned away

CLINTON CO. — A Frankfort man was arrested Saturday for striking two poll workers in Clinton County after he wasn't allowed to vote.

According to the Clinton County Sheriff's Office, a 48-year-old man assaulted two poll workers after he was turned away due to not having the required ID.

When the man was turned away, he began walking around the voting machines and was told to leave. According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspect was told to leave several times before attacking two of the workers.

Deputies arrested the attacker for Battery resulting in bodily injury and Disorderly Conduct. Formal charges are still pending with the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office.
