FRANKLIN — Police have released the identity of the person shot to death this past Saturday in Franklin.
The victim is 18-year-old Donovan Burdine, according to Franklin Police Chief Kirby Cochran. Burdine died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Johnson County Coroner.
Police have also identified two suspects arrested in connection with the shooting.
20-year-old Emilo Garcia of Indianapolis faces preliminary charges of Murder and Robbery. 21-year-old Roger Miller of Franklin is charged with Assisting a Criminal.
Cochran says officers also found a 2013 Dodge Dart that is believed to have been used by the suspects.
Burdine was shot to death around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Hurricane Street in Franklin near the Boys and Girls Club of Johnson County.
Cochran said police are still working through leads and more updates will follow.
