NOBLESVILLE — The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says the death of a man found in a ditch north of Noblesville appears to be a homicide case.

Investigators also say it looks like the victim died at another location and his body was dumped in the 21500 block of Overdorf Road. That's near Cumberland Road and East 221st Street.

The victim was identified as David Fotus, 50, of Pendleton, according to a press release Saturday from the sheriff's office. He also has ties to a residence in the 16500 block of East 196th Street in Noblesville.

An autopsy was performed Saturday morning and the results are still pending, according to the release.

Detectives are asking for anyone who talked to Fotus between April 17 and April 24 to contact detectives.

If anyone has any information on this case they are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-TIPS or Det. Greg Lockheart of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office at 317-773-1282.
