INDIANAPOLIS — Two people are dead after a shooting on the near north side of Indianapolis Monday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 400 block of West 38th Street shortly after noon.
Police said a Washington Township constable made the 911 call after hearing shots fired in the area.
When officers arrived they located an adult male and female with gunshot injuries. Police said both victims were pronounced deceased.
IMPD is investigating the incident as a death investigation.
