INDIANAPOLIS — Police are conducting a homicide investigation Saturday night at an apartment complex on the east side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 8:45 p.m. to the 200 block of North Shortridge Road to investigate the incident.
The man, DaQuan Smith, 27, had undisclosed trauma. Officers at the scene initially thought Smith was suffering from at least one apparent gunshot wound, but IMPD Sgt. Shane Foley later said detectives haven't been able to confirm if he was shot.
