IMPD detectives investigating shooting on city's west side

INDIANAPOLIS — Detectives in Indianapolis are investigating after a person was shot Saturday morning on the city's west side, police say.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 7 a.m. to the area of Oliver and Warren avenues on the report of a person shot, IMPD Officer Michael Hewitt said in an email.

The person appeared to be suffering from at least one gunshot wound and is in stable condition, Hewitt said.

The identity of the victim or any possible suspects have not been released.
