IMPD investigating person's death on southeast side as a homicide

INDIANAPOLIS — A person's death Sunday on the southeast side of Indianapolis is being investigated as a homicide, police said Monday.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 4900 block of Carry Back Lane, near Thompson Road and South Arlington Avenue, just after 12:10 p.m. Sunday and found a person suffering from trauma, according to a news release.

Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The person has been identified as Jamie Trusley, age 31.

Police have not released information about a possible suspect.
