IMPD: Man shot, killed on city's east side early Sunday morning

INDIANAPOLIS — A man was shot and killed on the east side of Indianapolis early Sunday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of N Arsenal Avenue on reports of a person shot at around 4:45 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male on the front porch of a residence who had been shot. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

IMPD says this was an isolated incident and a person of interest has been arrested.

The Marion County Coroner's Office will release the victim's identity once his family is notified.
