INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is seeking a suspect in an unsuccessful attempt at stealing an ATM on the city's near north side.

Around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, witnesses reportedly saw someone in a maroon or brown pickup truck hook a chain to the Teacher's Credit Union ATM at 23rd and Meridian, in an attempt to pull it out.

IMPD is actively searching for any leads that can point them to the person in the pickup truck.
