GREENFIELD — An Indianapolis man is pleading guilty to causing a February crash that left one person dead and three others injured.
21-year-old Iran Taylor had four other men in his car when he hit another vehicle on County Road 600 East near State Road 234.
One of the passengers, 22-year-old Reno Cook died in the crash. The other three passengers were injured, but survived. A young woman in the car that was hit was not seriously injured.
According to investigators, Taylor was headed north on the county road when he passed stopped vehicles waiting to get through the State Road 234 intersection. Then, as Taylor's car crossed 234, it was hit by the vehicle driven by the young woman.
Tests showed Taylor was impaired at the time of the crash. He tested positive for THC.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of operating a vehicle with a controlled substance.
Sentencing is set for September 25.
