INDIANAPOLIS — A man was shot to death Monday afternoon at a housing complex on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
A caller reported a person down just after 2:35 p.m. in the 4000 block of Stratford Court, east of North Post Road and between East 38th and East 42nd Streets, according to information from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Homicide investigators began looking into the case after officers found a man dead from a gunshot wound. The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Chad Wheat, 36.
Police have not released information about a possible suspect or what led to the shooting.
