INDIANAPOLIS — Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a 35-year-old man on Jan. 3.
According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, homicide detectives on Monday identified and arrested a suspect in the shooting death of James Greenberg, 35.

Police said Greenberg was shot and killed just after 5:30 p.m. Jan. 3 in the 2000 block of West Coil Street.
The suspect has been identified as William Ballard, 31, police said. He has been charged in Marion Superior Court with murder, criminal confinement while armed with a deadly weapon, kidnapping while armed with a deadly weapon, kidnapping where committed by using a vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, intimidation, and domestic battery.
