WAYNE COUNTY — A man was hospitalized following a stabbing early Friday evening on Interstate 70 in Wayne County.

Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched at 6:09 p.m. to the 156-mile marker on I-70 eastbound on a report of a disabled semi, Wayne County Sheriff Randy Retter said. They found a person in the semi who was suffering from apparent stab wounds.

The unidentified man was taken to Reid Health in Richmond by ambulance, and he was later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Retter said his condition is unknown.

The other person in the semi, Pavel Nery-Gonzalez, 47, Miami, was arrested, Retter said.

Retter said both lanes of I-70 eastbound were closed for nearly five hours while the case was investigated.
