Lawrence police investigating shooting that killed 3

LAWRENCE — Police in Lawrence are investigating after three people were killed in a shooting on Sunday evening.

According to the Lawrence Police Department, the shooting happened in the area of East 38th Street and North Post Road before 9 p.m.

Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where they later died.

On Monday, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified one of those killed as 38-year-old Daniel Alberto Morales Uribe.

Lawrence police said two people were arrested for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon in connection to the shooting. There names are Santos Ignacio Alfaro-Escobar and Justo Miguel Antunez-Escobar.
