INDIANAPOLIS — A man was shot and killed on the northwest side of Indianapolis Monday morning.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, around 8:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 600 block of West 30th Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with gunshot injuries in the roadway.
The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced deceased.
He was identified as 47-year-old Matthew Collin Stevens.
IMPD Homicide detectives responded to the scene to oversee the investigation, which is ongoing.
