IMPD is crediting the quick arrest to beat policing and the officer being in the right place at the right time. This year, IMPD is working to increase the number of beats to reduce the geographic areas of the 78 existing beats.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477 or homicide detectives at 317-327-3475.
