PERU — A man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another man early Sunday morning in Peru.
Peru Police Department officers were called around 2:40 a.m. to the area near West 6th Street and North Broadway on the report of a stabbing, according to a tweet from the department.
When they arrived, officers found a man with a large cut to his neck, according to the tweet. He was later taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne by a medical helicopter.
The suspect, a 24-year-old man, of Peru, was arrested on the suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness.
