COLUMBUS — Police arrested a man Friday after they say he jumped from a second story window during a pursuit to try and escape.
Columbus Police Department officers first spotted Lawson R. Allen, 38, just after 7 p.m. in the 2300 block of Charleston Place.
Allen, who had two warrants for his arrest, ran into a nearby apartment after seeing the officers and jumped out of a second story apartment window to try and escape.
After a brief foot pursuit, Allen was taken into custody and transported to Columbus Regional Hospital to be treated for an ankle injury. He's facing charges from two prior warrants and an additional charge of resisting law enforcement from the chase.
