INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis man was arrested Thursday in connection with a homicide on the city's northeast side last May.
Indianapolis Police Department Homicide detectives and the Marion County Prosecutor's Office were granted a warrant for the arrest of Dionte Owens, 21, in December of 2017.
They located Owens early Thursday morning in the 300 block of N. Oakland Avenue.
Police were called to the 1000 block of N. Rural Street on May 7, 2017, after a woman waiting on a bus saw the man lying unresponsive in an alley.
IMPD homicide detectives say Martel "Chicago" Thomas, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene of a gunshot wound.
