MARION — A man was injured Friday night and flown to a hospital in Fort Wayne after a shooting in Marion.
Marion Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 11 p.m. to Turnberry Square Apartments on the reports of shots fired, Capt. Stephen Dorsey said in a press release. While they were responding, they were told a man had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found Kenneth Carter, 30, of Marion, who had been shot at least twice, Dorsey said. Carter was taken to an area hospital before being flown to a Fort Wayne Hospital. He remains in critical but stable condition as of Saturday morning.
At this time, detectives are still working to find out what led to the shooting.
This is the second shooting in Marion in less than a week. On Sunday, one person was killed in an early morning shooting.
