Man found dead in eastside Indianapolis alley

INDIANAPOLIS — Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead in an alley Saturday morning on the eastside of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency responders were called around 8:45 a.m. to the 2100 block of Kildare Avenue, near Emerson Avenue and East 21st Street, on the report of an unresponsive person in the alley, IMPD Officer Genae Cook said in a press release.

When officers arrived, they found the man suffering from apparent trauma, Cook said.

At this time, the identity of the victim has not been released.
