LAFAYETTE — Police in Lafayette are investigating a man's death as a homicide after they found him Friday afternoon inside a residence near downtown Lafayette.
Lafayette Police Department officers were called just after 2 p.m. to the 600 block of Alabama Street on the report of a death, LPD Sgt. Mike Brown said in a press release. When they arrived, officers found a man dead inside.
The identity of the man or any possible suspects have not been released.
At this time, police do not believe there is any danger to the public stemming from the incident.
