SPEEDWAY — An 18-year-old man was found shot to death Saturday night at an apartment complex in Speedway.
According to information from the Speedway Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person suffering from a gunshot wound just after 10:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of Sumter Street at The Legend at Speedway apartments.
Emergency personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the victim was targeted by the suspect and it was not a random act, Speedway police said. The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Jayshawn Walker.
The shooting is still under under investigation, and no information about a possible suspect has been released.
