Man found on side of rural Morgan County road died from gunshot wound

MORGAN COUNTY — Authorities say a man found dead on the side of a rural road Friday in Morgan County died from a gunshot wound.

An autopsy on Saturday evening found a white man, between 25 and 40 years old, weighing between 150 and 180 pounds, with long dark hair and had both ears pierced, was on the side of the road for about a week, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.

Authorities are now investigating the death as a homicide, according to the release.

The man was wearing white canvas Converse shoes and a shirt similar to the one below:

A neighbor was walking her dog in the 110000 block of Mann Road on Friday when she noticed the body, according to the release.

The identity of the man has not yet been determined.
