INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was found shot dead on Indianapolis' northeast side in the city's 100th homicide of 2018.
Just after 5 a.m. Thursday, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 7800 block of Darien Court on reports of a disturbance. The responding officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has not been identified.
An IMPD detective said people were taken in for questioning.
This is the earliest Indianapolis has reached 100 criminal homicides in at least the last five years.
