INDIANAPOLIS — A man is dead after a hit-and-run crash on the south side of Indianapolis on Friday morning.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers on the scene, the accident happened on Sherman Road just south of Southport Road. At this time investigators are not sure what exact time the crash occurred.
IMPD is looking for a red-colored vehicle with side damage in relation to the incident, and say it would be missing a side mirror.

The Marion County Coroner has identified the victim as Jared Alexander, 23.
