Man killed in stabbing on Indy's east side

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was killed in a stabbing Wednesday morning on Indianapolis' east side. 

The stabbing happened in the 2600 block of Southeastern Avenue, at about 9:30 a.m.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to find an adult male who had been stabbed. He was taken to Eskenazi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police say.

IMPD is calling the incident a death investigation.
