COLUMBUS — A Columbus man suspected of several catalytic converter thefts in Southeastern Indiana was arrested Tuesday in Seymour.
He was arrested at an apartment on Bent Tree Lane by Seymour Police Department officers and detectives from Columbus's Intelligence Led Policing Unit, according to a Facebook post.
Officers preliminary charged him with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a warrant out of Jackson County to revoke probation, according to the post. He was on probation for felony theft out of Jackson County.
Formal charges have not been filed after Tuesday's arrest, according to online court records.
Earlier this month, he was arrested in the Indianapolis area after stealing catalytic converters off of abandoned vehicles on Interstate 65, according to the post. In December 2020, he was arrested by Columbus officers for possession of a handgun with a prior felony conviction.
Additional charges are possible as detectives continue to investigate.
