ANDERSON — Stephen Davis told police he did it because he wanted to kill people. Monday, he received a five-year prison sentence for his crime.
In November of last year, Davis dropped two bikes from a bridge over I-69 on the outskirts of Anderson to the busy highway below. He was arrested soon after and told police he did it because he wanted to cause a multi-vehicle fatal accident.
An officer from the Anderson police department went to the highway and found a mountain bike in the northbound median side lane and the handlebar of another bike nearby. Police said the second bike had been struck by a vehicle.
Davis was upset over what he said was an illegal home eviction.
