INDIANAPOLIS — Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a motorcyclist Saturday night on the east side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 8:45 p.m. to South Emerson and English avenues on the report of a hit-and-run crash involving a motorcyclist, IMPD Capt. Robert Trout said.
Witnesses told investigators the motorcyclist, a 30-year-old man, was going westbound on English Avenue when he ran the red light and was struck, Trout said. Investigators are working to determine if he did run the light.
The motorcyclist was taken to an Indianapolis hospital in critical condition, Trout said.
Police have not released any information on the suspect's vehicle.
