INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metro Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on the city's south side early Thursday morning that injured one person.
Officers were called to South Walcott Street around 1:15 a.m., near Hanna Avenue and State Street, on reports of a person shot.
When IMPD officers arrived they located one person shot. The shooting victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, police say.
That victim's status has been upgraded to "serious but stable condition."
There is currently no suspect information and this remain under investigation.
