One person critically wounded in afternoon shooting on Indy's east side

INDIANAPOLIS — One person was critically wounded in a shooting on the far east side of Indianapolis on Monday afternoon.

According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 100 block of South Bonar Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. Monday on a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found a person shot. The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
