INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead after a shooting early Monday afternoon on the city's northeast side.
According to a spokesman for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, north district officers were called to the 4500 block of Jamestown Court on report of a person shot around 1 p.m. Monday. It happened at the Pangea Prairies Apartments.
When officers arrived, they found a person who had been shot. EMS personnel arrived and pronounced the victim dead.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
