INDIANAPOLIS — One man is dead following a shooting Wednesday morning on the city's east side, police said.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a person shot before 8 a.m. in the 400 block of North Walcott Street between East New York and East Michigan streets.
Police found a victim when they arrived. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Information about what led to the shooting is not available at this time.
The man was later identified as Jordan Woods, 18.
