INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was shot and killed early Wednesday on the east side of Indianapolis.
According to information from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the shooting after 5 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Sheridan Avenue.
The woman was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, but later died.
Police said the shooting stemmed from a domestic incident, and they have a person-of-interest in custody.
The woman's identity has not been released.
