INDIANAPOLIS — A Perry Township school bus was struck by a hit-and-run driver Friday afternoon on the southeast side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 3:15 p.m. to Gray and Shelbyville roads on a hit-and-run crash involving a school bus, IMPD Officer Genae Cook said.
No injures were immediately reported, Cook said.
The bus was stopped in the area when the bus was struck from behind by the hit-and-run vehicle, Keesha Hughes, marketing and communications coordinator at Perry Township Schools said. There were kids on the bus at the time of the crash.
Officers are looking for the other vehicle involved in the crash at this time, Cook said.
No additional details have been released at this time.
