INDIANAPOLIS -- Police received a call for a business hold up alarm at a Dollar General in the 5400 block of Emerson Way at about 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

But when they arrived, they found a man who had been shot several times.

A police report says the incident was a robbery that ended in a homicide. The man who was shot was an employee at the store. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Brian Eure, 41.

Eure, who is a father of four, reached for an alarm to notify police and that's when the suspect shot him twice.

"This man took my husband away, their father, for no reason. He didn't deserve this... He murdered my husband in cold blood for nothing," said Jolene Eure, victim's wife.

A man who said he is the victim's son said he had just dropped his father off at work and saw a lot of police heading toward the Dollar General. He turned around and went back, only to find out his father had been shot and killed.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Detectives released surveillance video Monday in hopes of identifying the suspect.

Please call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS or the IMPD homicide office at (317) 327-3475 if you have any information.
