INDIANAPOLIS — One person was killed in a shooting on Indy's west side early Saturday morning.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a report of a loud party in the 5500 block of Scarlet Dr. around 3 a.m.
When officers arrived, they were flagged down by an individual who stated that a male had been shot and was down outside.
Police said they located an adult male victim, outside near a garage with gunshot injuries.
The victim was pronounced deceased. He was identified as 56-year-old Christopher Scott Rockingham.
