INDIANAPOLIS — A person is in serious condition after a shooting Saturday afternoon on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 1 p.m. to the 3600 block of North Wittfield Street, near North Post Road and East 36th Street, on the report of a person shot, IMPD Officer Genae Cook said in an email.
When they arrived, they located a person who was shot, Cook said.
At this time, the identity of the victim or any possible suspects have not been released.
