Person shot and killed at apartment complex on Indianapolis' north side

INDIANAPOLIS — A person was shot and killed early Saturday morning at an apartment complex on the north side of Indianapolis, according to police.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called just after 12:30 a.m. to the 8400 block of Spyglass Drive, an apartment complex just west of Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, on the report of a person shot.

Officers found a person with at least one apparent gunshot wound when they arrived, IMPD Sgt. Grace Sibley said in a press release. They later died.

Their identity hasn't been released.

IMPD homicide detectives are still investigating the incident and additional information hasn't been released.

This is the third deadly shooting since 3 p.m. Friday in Indianapolis.
