INDIANAPOLIS — A person is dead after a shooting Sunday night on the northeast side of Indianapolis, according to police.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 8 p.m. to the 3000 block of Forest Manor Avenue, near North Sherman Drive, on the report of a person shot, IMPD Officer Samone Burris said in an email.
Officers arrived and found a person who appeared to be suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Burris said. They later died.
Burris said investigators found a second victim a few blocks. The person was transported to an area hospital in stale condition.
Neither persons' identity has not been released.
Early Sunday morning, eight people were shot, three fatally, in Indianapolis.
